About Bleachers
“One of the best live bands currently operating” - Daily Telegraph
“An impressively efficient chorus-delivery machine big on arena-sized earworms” - The Times
“Jack Antonoff has almost single-handedly made modern pop into a glorious safe space, an expansive, sensitive, creative biosphere” - Rolling Stone
“‘Bleachers’ is a bold, upbeat record – all unexpected sax lines, thwacking snares and lyrics that are somehow both wry and surprisingly earnest” - British GQ
“It’s not merely the sound of ‘Bleachers’ that distinguishes the album but Antonoff’s newly expansive approach to writing for the band”- Los Angeles Times
Bleachers today releases ‘Bleachers (Deluxe)’ - an extended version of their critically acclaimed new album.
Featuring eight new tracks that continue the rich vein of form the band showcases on the original release, it serves as a firm reminder of their impressive creative depth.
‘Bleachers (Deluxe)’ arrives just as Bleachers kick off the US leg of their eagerly awaited ‘From The Studio To The Stage’ tour this weekend in Salt Lake City.
During the US run, frontman Antonoff will be appearing on-stage at Boston’s Museum Of Science in conversation with physicist David Kaiser, professor of physics at MIT, for an unforgettable live conversation for the Sing For Science podcast on 10th June. Antonoff will be exploring the nature of time from Kaiser’s perspective as a theoretical physicist, drawing connection to and inspiration from the lyrics of Bleachers’ song ‘The Waiter' that hint at the subjectivity of time.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed new album ‘Bleachers’ in March, the band kicked off their ‘From The Studio to the Stage’ world tour with a run of seven sold out shows across the United Kingdom before two highly revered shows at Coachella in April. The tour will continue throughout the year with 40+ headline shows including a sold out date at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, two shows at Los Angeles’ iconic venue The Greek Theatre and their largest headline show to date at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
‘Bleachers’, the band’s fourth studio album, was released in March via Dirty Hit and features singles ‘Modern Girl’, ‘Alma Mater’, ‘Tiny Moves’ and ‘Me Before You’. The release of ‘Bleachers’ was met with tremendous praise with DIY lauding the album as “nothing short of remarkable”, Rolling Stone praising its “spiritual ecstasy that can only be attained through the platonic perfection of pop formula” and NME labeling the record as “a triumphant portrait of Antonoff’s talent and the band’s tight musical bond”.
There’s a rich depth to the band’s sound on ‘Bleachers’: it is laid out in bright, soulful technicolour. The album is frontman Antonoff’s distinctly New Jersey take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life, on his position in culture, and on the things he cares about. Sonically, it’s sad, it’s joyful, it’s music for driving on the highway to, for crying to and for dancing to at weddings. There’s something reassuringly touchable and concrete about its sentiment: exist in crazy times but remember what counts.
Described as “anthemic, life affirming pop rock” by the New York Times, Bleachers are fronted by globally celebrated, eleven-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, Jack Antonoff. Releasing their debut album ‘Strange Desire’ in 2014, the band have built a huge, passionate following across four studio albums, becoming renowned for their impressive live show and infectious camaraderie. The band’s last album, ‘Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night’ took them to new heights, showcasing Antonoff’s immersive songwriting and, as Variety testified, his innate skill at “supersizing personal stories into larger-than-life pop anthems”.
Both with Bleachers and as a songwriter and producer, Antonoff, who, in 2021, was credited by the BBC for having “redefined pop music”, has collaborated with the likes of Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, The 1975, Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross, Lorde, St. Vincent, Florence + The Machine, Kevin Abstract and many more. In February 2024 Antonoff won Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for an incredible third consecutive year, becoming only the second producer in history to win three years running. In May, he was recognised as one of the most influential people of 2024 on the prestigious annual TIME100 list.

Bleachers "Alfie's Song (Not So Typical Love Song)" out now!
